Terms of Service

DRAFT: these terms are a working draft, have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and may change before ShipTidy launches.

Last updated: October 28, 2026

These terms apply to shiptidy.com and the checks and reports we provide (the "Service"). The Service is provided by ShipTidy, a business registered in Ontario, Canada ("ShipTidy", "we", "us"), contact hello@shiptidy.com, mailing address 6-2160 Highway 7, Suite 702, Vaughan, ON L4K 1W6, Canada. By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service does

ShipTidy runs automated, read-only checks against public websites: it requests publicly available pages and files (for example your homepage, robots.txt and sitemap.xml) and public DNS records, then reports what it finds with suggested fixes. Checks do not log in, submit forms, attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, or change anything on the target site.

2. Acceptable use

We may block requests, limit usage or suspend access if we believe these rules are being broken.

3. Reports are information, not guarantees

Our checks are automated and limited in scope. A "pass" does not mean your site is secure, compliant, or will rank in search engines, and we may miss problems or flag things that aren't problems. You're responsible for decisions you make based on a report.

4. Paid reports

Paid checks are not available yet. When they launch, prices, what each report includes, and our refund policy will be shown before purchase. Payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider.

5. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all reports are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShipTidy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (which is zero for free checks).

Some jurisdictions, including Quebec, don't allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits for consumers. Where that's the case, those parts apply only to the extent the law allows, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

7. Indemnity

If you use the Service against a site you're not authorized to check, or otherwise break these terms, you agree to cover claims and costs that result from that misuse, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Changes and termination

We may change or stop the Service, or update these terms, at any time. We'll post updated terms here; continued use after changes means you accept them.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own province.
